Voice Lessons
Teaching Philosophy

Welcome to my teaching studio! I am so excited to have the opportunity to
share my passion for teaching with students of all ages and all levels.
My studio guidelines and teaching philosophy:
-
Your voice – Each individual voice is special and has its own set of
talents. I will make sure to honor your voice and treat it like the unique
instrument that it is.
-
Breath is everything – My lessons will always emphasize breath because
you cannot live without it. Breathe, breathe, breathe!
-
Honesty – Always tell me if something does not feel right. I want to make
sure that I am teaching you to sing in the healthiest way possible.
-
Practice – I will give you assignments every week that will focus on
different areas of singing. If you want to improve, you must practice.
-
Rates – Please contact me for my rates. They will depend on timing (30 mins, 45 mins, 1 hour)
-
Make-up lessons – If we need to reschedule a lesson, please let me know in advance. I understand that family emergencies, illnesses, etc. are bound to occur. I am happy to work with you and find a time in both of our schedules to make up the missed lesson.
-
Illness – You should never sing if you are not feeling well. Please let me know if you are coming down with a cold or generally feeling under the weather, and I will make sure to schedule a make-up lesson for when you are feeling better.
-
Music – If you have a favorite song(s) that you want to learn, let me know and I will do my best to teach it to you. I believe that you should sing songs that you love!
